Nebraska radon contractors: territory, leads, and how we work
Radon Connect routes homeowner requests across two Nebraska markets — the Omaha metro and Lincoln — covering Douglas, Sarpy, Lancaster, Seward, and Saunders counties.
Nebraska sits in the band of states where elevated indoor radon is common, and the state has moved toward requiring radon-resistant features in new residential construction. Both facts shape the work reaching contractors here: activations of passive systems alongside conventional retrofits.
Licensing expectations in Nebraska
Nebraska credentials radon measurement and mitigation businesses through its state health and human services department, and that mitigation credential is what we verify at onboarding. It is separate from Iowa certification just across the river — a Council Bluffs firm holding Iowa certification is not thereby credentialed for a Nebraska property, and we route accordingly. Confirm current requirements with the state program, since Nebraska has adjusted its radon rules in recent years.
Territory exclusivity
Territories are assigned at the county level: Douglas and Sarpy in the Omaha market, Lancaster plus the Seward-Saunders territory in Lincoln. A qualified homeowner request is shared with no more than three credentialed contractors covering that county. With only two Nebraska markets, roster caps matter more than usual — we would rather run a short list that converts than a long one that trains homeowners to ignore callbacks.
How homeowners are qualified before you hear from us
Homeowners complete a multi-step form before a request reaches you: result band, transaction context, timeline, property type, foundation type, and property ZIP resolved deterministically against our Nebraska territory list. Dispatch happens only at or above 4 pCi/L, or between 2 and 4 with an active transaction. Consent is explicit, never pre-checked, and the referral disclosure sits directly above it.
Service area requirements
Claim only the counties you actually service, including the Sarpy and Saunders edges where drive times stretch. Bellevue and Offutt-area requests frequently carry PCS deadlines measured in weeks; if you cannot respond inside that kind of window, say so at onboarding rather than after a homeowner has waited. Counties that consistently go unanswered come out of your routing.
How to apply
Send your business name, Nebraska radon mitigation credential, the counties you serve, and proof of insurance through the contact page. We verify the credential with the state program before routing. No application fee, no monthly charge, no purchased exclusivity — compensation is per referral and disclosed to homeowners on every page.

Nebraska contractor questions
Does the new-construction rule change the work we see?
It shifts some of it toward activation. Nebraska has moved toward requiring radon-resistant features in new residential construction, so a growing share of newer Omaha and Lincoln homes already have a passive vent pipe. When those homes test elevated, the job is adding a fan and indicator rather than a full retrofit — a smaller ticket, and one homeowners are increasingly aware of before they call.
We work both sides of the Missouri. How does that route?
Separately, by state. Nebraska properties route on your Nebraska credential through the Omaha market; Council Bluffs and the Iowa side route on Iowa certification through our separate Council Bluffs market. Hold both and you can take territory in both.
What does exclusivity actually mean here?
A cap, not a monopoly. At most three credentialed contractors per county receive a qualified request, and we limit roster size per territory. We will not sell you sole rights to a county, because we cannot guarantee the coverage a homeowner needs from a single firm.
