About Radon Connect

What we are

A national platform launching market by market. It began with Suburban Chicagoland — six county territories across DuPage, Kane, Will, McHenry, Kendall, and suburban Cook — and now routes 79 territories across 35 metro markets in 10 states. Homeowners tell us their situation once, and the platform’s job is to introduce them to up to 3 independent contractors licensed by the radon programme in their own state, who quote directly. The service is free to homeowners, and we may be compensated by contractors for referrals — stated here and everywhere, not buried.

What we are not

Radon Connect does not employ radon technicians, does not sell or install mitigation equipment, and has no financial stake in whether any individual home is mitigated. Our role is to introduce homeowners to independent licensed contractors; every estimate, contract, and warranty is between you and the contractor you choose.

We are also not a government agency, not affiliated with EPA or IEMA-OHS, and not a licensing authority. When this site cites radon health effects, action levels, testing rules, or Illinois law, it cites the actual authorities — EPA, IEMA-OHS, and the Illinois statutes — and links them at the bottom of the page making the claim.

The rules we operate by

• Honest coverage. ZIP resolution is deterministic; unsupported areas hear “not yet” instead of a pretend match.
• Honest failure. If our intake ever can’t accept a request, the form says so plainly — it never fakes a confirmation.
• No manufactured urgency. Radon is a solvable, cumulative-exposure problem; we write like it.
• No invented facts. No fabricated customer praise, no made-up speed or partner-count claims, no unsourced statistics — if we can’t cite it or it isn’t ours to know, it isn’t on the site.
• Licensing forward. Every page that discusses hiring pushes independent licence verification against the state’s own register — including for any contractor reached through this platform.

Where we’re going

The platform is configuration-driven by design: each metro launches as an isolated market with its own territories, ZIP routing, and locally written pages. Beyond Suburban Chicagoland we now publish 34 further metros across 10 states — but publishing a market and operating one are different things, and none of them has an active provider yet.
