What should this cost, and is it worth it?

This platform holds no pricing observations — no quotes, no invoices, no contractor interactions. That is stated plainly rather than hidden, and it is the reason you will not find a dollar figure presented as a national average here.

What we can do honestly is explain the drivers, so you can tell whether a specific quote is high for a defensible reason or high for no reason. That is more useful than an average anyway: an average tells you about houses that are not yours.

Who this is for. Someone with a quote that seems high, or low, or who is trying to budget before collecting any.
