Could we just ventilate more instead of installing a system?

Increasing air exchange dilutes indoor concentrations by bringing in outdoor air, where levels are low. It addresses the concentration rather than the entry.

It is a real approach in some situations and it has real drawbacks: it works only while it runs, and it has an energy cost that a depressurization fan largely does not.
