The house has drain tile

Drain tile is perforated pipe laid around a footing to manage water. Because it runs the perimeter and sits in aggregate, it frequently offers good communication with the material beneath a slab.
A design that draws from a tile loop can sometimes cover a large area from one point, which is why a professional will ask about it early.
